Levy’s speech, loss and emerging from the rubble Sally F, November 10, 2022 For the first half of November 8th, I couldn’t get our national anthem, “The Star-Spangled Banner”, out of my head. I could feel the Red Wave approaching; and then, with a sleight of hand, the Media Trinity (NBC, CBS and Fox 61 in Connecticut) made it appear like a fizzle—and sound like a pathetic whimper. Everything seemed to go up in smoke. Leora’s mouth was moving and her tone was subdued, gracious. A few of my friends had tears running down their faces. I would break down the next day; but those moments, I felt a righteous anger at those broadcasters. Anger I hadn’t felt since February 11th; that inspired the Tribune’s creation. I consider it lighter fluid to liberty fires. Maybe November 8th was not an end, but a new beginning, however painful. To any Leftists reading this: You’ll notice we have no safe spaces, no coloring books, no self-soothing techniques; also no gun brandishing, no rioting in the streets, no burning, etc. That’s because MAGA republicans know how to lose like adults. Leaders in CT’s red wave are by no means gone. Tuesday night, Hartford’s elite wore pasted smiles, inwardly willing the Deep Reds to “put up….give up…..shut up”. We knew darn well elections aren’t magic bullets. But Hartford’s Democrats know zero fighters: they must buy or bribe allegiance, and all “conviction” depends on the size of their coffers. They have no cahones, and no god but themselves to boot. And to the uniparty R’s: abandoning many strong candidates will become your albatross. Now emerge the true leaders: ones who can take the hard punches and smile, give thanks, and say “By the grace of God, no, I won’t shut up, and I’m not giving up.” The brave souls witnessed on the campaign trails, they will return, along with the creature that Communists dread the most—a growing, free press in Connecticut. One that cannot be bought for $72 million to keep its mouth shut. Onward and upward, Sally Finck Founder and managing editor, CTL Tribune Share this:TwitterFacebookLike this:Like Loading... Awesome, Sally. Yes, we’ve only begun to fight! I call CT “Blue Captured”. We can, and will prevail here. The Democrat hold is more brittle than it looks. Loading... Reply
