Christopher Drezek heads to Old Saybrook
In 2022, a homework assignment in Enfield schools—-involving pizza and sex—-made waves in the small, northern CT town. Old Saybrook has ‘unanimously appointed’ Drezek as their superintendent.
Mr. Drezek’s career with the Enfield Public Schools began in 2004, serving as the district’s Business Manager. After a brief time as the Director of Human Resources and Operations for the Wethersfield Board of Education, Mr. Drezek returned to Enfield in 2010 to serve as the district’s Director of Human Resources. Prior to entering into central office administration, Mr. Drezek served as a teacher and coach at Sacred Heart HighSchool in Waterbury, CT as well as an Assistant Principal of St. Paul Middle and High School in Bristol, CT.

The controversial assignment, called “Pizza and Consent”, upset many parents and generated statewide news coverage. Middle school students were given a worksheet, asking them to list their sexual preferences in terms of pizza toppings.
Old Saybrook made the following announcement on their website on Wednesday, Feb 21st:
