Greenwich CT—a storm of controversy erupted from parents, educators lawmakers and other CT residents after Project Veritas released their latest video.
Jeremy Boland, assistant principal at Cos Cob Elementary school, is seen and heard revealing the religious and political discrimination taking place in Greenwich Public Schools.

In a statement quickly released by the GPS superintendent, Dr. Toni Jones sent a district-wide email:
“Dear GPS, Late last evening we were made aware of a video that had gone viral with a current administrator from Cos Cob School. We intend to do a full investigation and until that time, we will not make any public statements. We ask that you respect the investigation process during this time.
We do not, however, support any opinions that promote discriminatory hiring practices based on race, religion, gender, or age in any way, and we want to remind our entire community that our curriculum policies and procedures are strictly enforced by our Board.
Dr. Jones however, uses language carefully. Note these differences:
“Intend to do” — NOT — “We WILL do”
“any opinions that promote discriminatory hiring practices” — NOT — “any verbal or hiring discrimination”
“our curriculum policies and procedures” — NOT — “our hiring policies and procedures”
“Strictly enforced” — well clearly, people were NOT enforcing this supposed principles.
State Representative Kim Fiorello was quick to condemn the actions, stating,
“This is what we’re afraid of – that some petty bigot is using our schools to make our children hate members of their own community.
This elementary school assistant principal is deliberately breaking our state’s non-discrimination laws to impose his progressive ideologies on young children. He is also, deliberately, hiring teachers based on their willingness to ignore parents’ involvement in their own children’s education.
He should be immediately fired. The principal of the school should be investigated for a lack of oversight and Greenwich parents should demand action and accountability from the Superintendent. We should know if these discriminatory practices are widespread and if they are tolerated in more of our schools.
After the COVID interruptions children experienced and the new insights parents gained into education as indoctrination, parents are demanding a renewed focus on core knowledge and academic excellence.
We clearly need more educational choice in Connecticut. This incident confirms our fears that some school administrators are hostile to the needs, values, and traditions of our families. Their bigotry would be less oppressive if more of our families were empowered to vote with their feet.”
First Selectman Fred Camillo demanded answers as well,
“The Veritas video just released, and I see no reason to suspect it is not accurate, is shameful and needs a full investigation into not only this administrator, but the damage caused to applicants, past and present. Our kids deserve better. Our schools deserve better. Our town deserves better.
As a former educator, and a former Cos Cob School student who grew up in the shadow of the building, this hits home. To think that Roman Catholic applicants may have applied for teaching positions and not received proper consideration due to their religion seems like something from a bygone era, not 2022. According to this assistant principal, Conservatives, older applicants, and others deemed not progressive were not given an opportunity afforded others.
We are entrusted with the task of educating students, and to encourage critical thinking. Brainwashing and indoctrination have no place in halls of learning, or anywhere else, for that matter.
I have reached out to the Superintendent of Schools and am calling for a complete review of hiring practices. The goal should always be education, not indoctrination.

The Hartford Courant claimed the video “suggested discrimination”, which is a way-too-nice dog bone thrown to the Courant’s deep-pocket communist funders.
Almost as a well-timed response for parents, Family Institute of Connecticut’s latest conference will be held on Saturday, September 24th. Get tickets!
