We are still waiting for clarification from Justice Southbury.
Recently their spokesperson finally asserted that Justice Southbury does not support political violence. The reason for this very long effort to elicit this response was driven by a concern over Justice Southbury’s support of Black Lives Matter. Offensive on its face, people felt uncomfortable attending rallies where this criminal group’s logo was on display.

The spokesperson has remained silent relative to Justice Southbury’s continuing this support of this unambiguously Marxist, criminal enterprise who was responsible in large part for the 2020 riots, 2 billion dollars in damage and dozens of murders. Consistent with their ridiculous claims that American police are genocidal, BLM has also steadfastly endorsed the murder of police officers. Sadly, CT has not been immune from their efforts in this regard.
So, what is the story, Justice Southbury? Observers simply cannot believe that you endorse political violence and/or the murder of police officers. Are you going to continue to support BLM albeit, given their rhetoric and public rioting, is inconsistent with your spokesperson’s long-awaited statement that you do not support political violence, OR are you going to allow your actions to belie the long-awaited assertion that you do not support political violence to include the murder of police officers?
Of course, the spokesperson may continue to call disparage me for asking, and they have a right to publicly endorse riot, arson, and murder if they see fit. Yet, for purposes of clarity, the families and friends of murdered police are of the same mind as the vast majority of good Southbury CT residents.
We are baffled at the gulf between their stated value of condemning political violence on one hand and their endorsement of the arson, riot and murder of BLM on the other.
We would like a coherent, ethical, and unequivocal explanation. Is Justice Southbury, whose spokesperson avoided condemning political violence for so long, going to continue to vicariously endorse the political violence and murder of BLM by publicly displaying their logo?
Respectfully submitted,
