Former superintendent and author highlights children are not attending safe schools

Armand Fusco is a former superintendent; he’s also a treasure trove of knowledge regarding Connecticut’s education system. He is the author of 4 books on education, and previously published a column called “Inside Education” in the 1990s for five shoreline newspapers.
Fusco has a unique perspective in stepping to the front lines of the education culture war. Specifically, he digs into the causes of school violence, and in a recent presentation to Guilford residents, demonstrated that most schools in Connecticut are not prepared to deal with school shooters. This is in spite of the Sandy Hook incident of 2012.
