GREENWICH—If you’ve heard of the World Economic Forum, it’s time to meet the Greenwich Economic Forum. Curated and produced by the Greenwich Business Institute, the GEF seeks to “[highlight] the global economy and connects leaders to advance economic progress.”
Founded in 2017 by Jim Aiello and Bruce McGuire, it is “one of the world’s premiere conferences for leaders of the global alternative investment industry.”

The Forum has both featured speakers—which include Governor Ned Lamont—and GEF faculty, including Annie Lamont.

The Lamonts have received much criticism for Annie’s opaque business deals with the Saudi firm Sannabil Investments. Her deals are seen as a double standard in political spheres, tarnishing the governor’s office.
Ned can be heard on audio at 1:50 into a 9:36 minute audio segment, featured on the GEF Forum website.
